Apollo – male domestic short hair x siamese kitten
Rescue kitten for adoption in Ormiston, Brisbane: So there are black cats that look like a cat that is black. Then, there are those black cats that look like mini little Panthers, jungle escapees set to make themselves comfortable on your bed. Yep, you guessed it, meet Apollo, our gorgeous ‘panth-cat’.
From his big broad nose, long legs and even his big saggy belly common with big cats this fella is as striking as they get. Already one weighing in at over 5kg, we expect this guy is going to be a big squishy beautiful boy when he grows up. Despite his wild looks, Apollo is a lounge lizard. He lives for sleep, food, head pats and rolling around in front of you, this is him trying to show you how handsome he is. His body language speaks for itself, he is constantly smooching something, head butting something else, and it always ends with him collapsing on the floor, his eyes locked with you, calling you to ‘love him’. Affectionate plus this guy. He’s not so keen on being carried around, but don’t worry, he will follow you when called. He won’t get under your feet if your busy, most likely find a nice spot and sleep the day away.
This guy was born in foster care. He has lived an adored life filled with excitement of foster families and new experiences. He is missing one thing, and that’s a family to call his own. In October he will celebrate his first birthday, and we couldn’t imagine a better gift for him than giving him a forever home, a home of his very own.
He has lived under most living arrangements. He has proved to us he is very adaptable. He is the perfect gentleman and plays claws in and never bites. He is fine with little children as long as you don’t mind he will most likely disappear to a safe place if he feels they are a little too much for him. He would be fine with another cat for company, he has not shown an aggressive behavior with the resident cats of the house. He is also living with a large dog, although I wouldn’t say they are great mates considering they have just met, but Apollo is happy to ‘avoid’ the dog throughout the house, and quite enjoys sneaking up to him while he sleeps. He would also be fine as a solo cat, as long as he was allowed to sleep with his family at night.
Apollo will quickly become your best friend. He will cuddle into you on the bed and stare adoringly into your eyes. He loves people. He has a big heart and is so easy to love.
Apollo’s date of birth is 30th October 2012.
Adoption fee: $170 includes microchip, first and second vaccinations, intestinal worm and flea treatment (to date) and desexing.
