Athena – female domestic short hair x siamese kitten
Rescue kitten for adoption in Brisbane CBD: Athena is a true black beauty with the gracefulness and elegance of a majestic panther. She has the kindest heart and is one of the most placid and loving kittens her foster mum has had the pleasure of having in her home.
Athena does not have a demanding bone in her body. She curls up next to you when you sit down for the night, crawls into bed when it’s sleep time, waits patiently to be fed and doesn’t climb all over your computer when you’re trying to work! Having this precious kitty in your home doesn’t mean that you have to give up your Sunday sleep in- she is happy to sleep in as long as you are, she doesn’t even make a request for breakfast until you are ready!
She has formed a strong bond with her foster mum that is far more ‘dog-like’ and in Athena’s eyes you can do no wrong. Athena is a little shadow, without ever getting under your feet. Having a shower? Athena likes to sit on the other side of the bathroom. Cleaning the bedroom? Athena likes to lay on the bed. You won’t ever be lonely with this lady around.
It would be expected that being part Siamese Athena would be very vocal. However, this is not the case. Athena is as quiet as a mouse and uses her adorable squeaky voice to say ‘hello’ when you get home – after that, you won’t hear another peep from her.
Athena is a true lady with the manners to match. You can cook meals in peace as she does not jump on the beach and you can eat your meals in peace because she knows that is not her food.
Athena is looking somebody to bond with – once she does, she will provide you with love and loyalty.
In October Athena will celebrate her first birthday. At almost 1 year old, Athena’s personality has fully developed and “what you see is what you get”.
Athena has not been around children or dogs. Athena is very patient so we think she would adjust to a forever home with children. She has lived with other cats and has shown a preference for cats that are calm and relaxed. Ideally though, we believe she’d be happiest as an only pet.
Athena’s date of birth is 30th October 2012.
Adoption fee: $170 includes microchip, first and second vaccinations, intestinal worm and flea treatment (to date) and desexing.
