Rescue kittens for adoption at Birkdale, Brisbane: Misses Gypsy and Sammi are two very special young girls who have not had the most enviable start in life. The girls are rehabilitated colony kittens who need a inside only home where they can happily play all day together and be safe from the scary outside world. These delightful sisters will amuse themselves, they deserve nothing but the best, and staying together would give them peace and happiness forever. They will take time to get to know you, and to trust you, but if you invest the time and the love you will be amazed at the love you will get back, you truly will.
Gypsy and Sammi are worth all the effort however they are both kittens that you would need to meet half-way on some things, and they will need you to be understanding if they run off and hide, then come back in their time and re-join you, it doesn’t mean that they don’t think the world of you; it is just that trust takes a long time to earn.
Both girls remind me of ragdoll cats as, when they know and trust you, these contented and relaxed young ladies have a tendency to ‘melt’ over anything and anyone, both of the girls drape themselves in the most gorgeous and interesting ways.
Gypsy is the larger of the girls, and is more confident with new people than Sammi; she is a keen investigator, loves to play, hogs the food and chases anything and everything, she has a purr that would melt the hardest will, and her eyes look straight into your soul. Gypsy simply loves being groomed and is quite prepared to resort to grooming other animals and humans when she has finished grooming herself.
Sammi is the shy one of the girls; she loves to play, climb and hide, the top of our bookcases is a firm favourite for her….and she will let you know in her loudest possible voice if she thinks she is being ignored....and then she will reward you with the most delicious purr when she gets your undivided attention!
Whilst Gypsy is an adventurer and very loving, when she does decide that she would like her own time and space, she would prefer not to be disturbed, once she has chilled she will be back with vengeance! She loves people, but is really not keen on children under 5, she gets on well with two of our fur-ever cats, and shows complete disdain for the third, but she adores our dotty Dalmatian.
Sammi loves all people, of all ages, as long as they respect her boundaries and let her come to them, not the other way around, she is a little more guarded with our other cats, again, it is all on her terms, and smooches our Dalmatian shamelessly! When life is on her terms, she is quietly confident. For all she sounds distant, she really is not, she is just a little skittish still, and does not like loud noises of sudden movements....unless it is a toy....and then it is game on!
Gypsy and Sammi will initially be a little shy and distant, but will mature into quietly confident cats who give much love, and, in return expect to be adored, pandered to, and allowed their own space when they choose!
Both Gypsy and Sammi, once you earn their trust, love company, whether animal or human, and have a quirky yet fun manner. They will make very beautiful, slightly aloof, happy adult cats, and would probably be best suited to a guardian that is prepared to meet them half way on some things, but they have both come a long, long way since they came into our care, being homed together is going to be a major factor in their future happiness.
Gypsy and Sammi's date of birth is 12/11/2012.
$340 includes microchip, first and second vaccinations, intestinal worm and flea treatment (to date) and desexing.
