Luya – female adult manx cat

IMG_1344_1Rescue cat for adoption in Kedron, Brisbane:  Luya is unique.  She’s a beautiful light ginger Manx . .  yes, no tail, and looks like a little bunny rabbit when she runs up the stairs with her back legs hopping on each step.  I call her my little kitty rabbit.

She has a very pretty face and a lovely nature.  Luya is only about 12 months old and came into foster care with her three young kittens.  She was a very loving and devoted mother, but now that her mothering days are over, Luya is once again discovering her playful and carefree nature and loves to play with her toys, particularly the cat tunnel where she runs, pounces, rolls, plays hide & seek and generally keeps us all amused.   Luya was quite timid and shy when she first came to her new foster home without her kittens, but she soon understood that she was in a safe and loving environment and it wasn’t long till she was exploring her new foster home and looking for cuddles and chin scratches and wanting to spend time with us.  She loves to be in the same room as you and will come and sit next to you and just enjoy your company (as demonstrated by the loud purring).

Luya can keep herself amused with a few toys during the day if her adoptive family go to work, but she will greet you as soon as you get home to get a cuddle and enjoy some special time together.

She is quite inquisitive when visitors arrive and is happy to meet them although she is still a little sensitive to loud noises or boisterous movement.  Luya currently lives in an adult environment and doesn’t share her foster home with any other animals. She would probably best be suited to a household that doesn’t have very young children, but I’m sure she’d appreciate a loving family to call her own.

If you are looking for a very special, loving companion and family member, one that will bring joy and laughter into her forever  home, then Luya is the girl for you.

Luya’s date of birth is 2/05/2012.
