Roxy – female senior labrador dog
Rescue Labrador available for adoption at Forest Lake, Brisbane: Foxy Roxy is aged somewhere between 8 and 10 years of age. We don’t know her history, however we do know that she is a beautiful companion dog! Sure, she has a few aches and pains consistent with her age…don’t we all? Roxy loves company. She will not thrive in a home where she is left for extended periods without the company of either another dog or a human. Her human doesn’t need to be by her side 24/7, however if you’re away from home 10 hours per day, she won’t enjoy the isolation. Roxy takes a little while to warm to another wet nose but once she does, watch out, she’ll be best mates with little effort, provided of course her new friend is respectful and plays nice. Roxy’s foster home sees dogs come and go, proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks and proving that there’s plenty more life in this “old” girl!
Roxy wants to be an inside dog, part of a family, as it should be. She finds comfort in the small things, like talk back radio and normal household noise. Whilst Roxy is a gentle soul and very affectionate, we are not recommending her to be re-homed with children under the age of 12 and as she does not like cats, a cat free home will suit Roxy just fine.
Roxy is in foster care at Forest Lake. Please note that we do not freight our dogs.
If you would like more information about Roxy, please phone Janene on 0432 405 474.
Adoption fee: $175. Roxy is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, tested for heartworm (negative result) and is on monthly preventatives.
