Popcorn – Female Himalayan x DSH Kitten

Popcorn1

Rescue kitten for adoption at Zillmere, Brisbane:  Popcorn is such an endearing little kitten. She is not as confident as her sister Gracie and whilst she is very affectionate and cheeky with those that she knows it can take some time for her to be comfortable and relaxed around new people. She is happy to stay in the same room with visitors, and she will even engage with them when they entice her with her toys, but she can be a little shy about being picked up by strangers. But once you have gained her trust you will be privileged to be on the receiving end of the most gorgeous kitten cuddles you could ever imagine! Popcorn is a super purrer, in fact the second you pick her up the purring begins, she will purr when she is sleepy, when her food is being prepared, when she plays, she purrs just because she can.

Popcorn is good with cats and dogs. She shares her home with the foster families resident dogs, the resident cat and her sister Gracie and they all get along beautifully. She is also good with gentle children though a very busy home with very young ones may be a little overwhelming for her. Ideally Popcorn’s new family will have older children or a quieter adult only home. Popcorn requires a family who understands that a patient, gentle approach will work wonders with her and they will be rewarded with an amazing, loyal and affectionate new family member. Popcorn is an independent little girl who will happily keep herselfPopcorn2 amused though she will require company in her new home as she would not enjoy being on her own for extended periods of time. If her family is away at work and school she would love a friendly feline to play with until her family returns at the end of the day.

Popcorn has been raised solely indoors and her foster family believe that it is very important that this arrangement continues in her new home to ensure that she is kept safe from all the potential dangers that she could be exposed to outdoors. Popcorn currently has an outdoor enclosure which she loves but she would be just as happy with a sunny window sill to sit on to watch the world go by.
