Rescue kitten available for adoption in Brisbane CBD: Arthur is adventurous, extremely playful, a ‘mammas boy’ and the biggest snuggle pot when it is time to have a nap … but forget about trying to get him to come for a cuddle when he is busy playing.
Arthur is always purring, no matter what he is doing – he is a little man that is so content with life.
Like many pure white and blue eyed cats, Arthur is deaf. However, you wouldn’t know it as he is not easily startled. It actually comes with a few benefits – he sleeps like a LOG! As soon as the lights go out, he is sound asleep for the night. Having a deaf kitten is not difficult, it requires some minor adjustments – such as showing him the ball before it is thrown (he won’t hear the sound!) and using hand signals instead of the tone of your voice for behaviour training.
Arthur is not a vocal kitty, however when he does ‘meow’ it is very a distinctive ‘meow’ and it is likened to a baby crying (which is due to being part Siamese). He also meows a little louder than most because he can’t hear himself.
Arthur is in a foster home with another cat, Athena. He loves to try to play with Athena, however he is a little too playful for her taste. If Arthur went to a home with another cat, the other cat would need to also be quite playful. Of course, Arthur is still a kitten and he will ‘slow down’ as he grows into an adult cat. Arthur would love the energy that children bring to a household, however being deaf, going to a family with very young children may not be ideal.
Arthur’s date of birth is 29/03/2013
Adoption fee: $170 includes microchip, first and second vaccinations, intestinal worm and flea treatment (to date) and desexing.
