Rescue cat for adoption in Capalaba, Brisbane: Soxy's story is a little different than most and she is looking for a loving owner, who is willing to give her a second chance. Soxy was part of a multi-cat household that temporarily surrendered all 8 cats when the owners moved to a new city, but were looking at housing suitable to take some of them back to the new place. As there were no foster homes at the time, the cats were all housed together at a privately run cat shelter. There they stayed, waiting for their owners to find a place to live and come to reclaim them.
Needless to say, a year down the track it has become apparent they will not be going home. Now formally surrendered to us, we are putting them up for adoption and hope someone out there will love them as they should be loved.
As we haven’t lived with Soxy in a foster home, we can’t say with any certainty what kind of likes and dislikes she has. However at the shelter, she is a sweet, undemanding cat who will shine in the love and attention of her very own human. Some of her friends have been adopted and settled into their new home in record time, so it's fair to say that Soxy would also be very happy to have her own human for pats and a bit of loving. Part of the fun and excitement of bringing home a new fur baby is getting to know them, and we wish to find that special person who will give her love, patience and understanding. She is between 6 to 7 years old, and has gotten over the silly young cat stage, and is ready for a lap to call her own.
