Chai – female domestic short hair cat

image Rescue cat available for adoption in The Gap, Brisbane:  Chai came to us via the Redland Pound with her five gorgeous kittens. She is a short hair torbie (tortoiseshell tabbie). She has been a great Mum, but it’s now her time to shine. She likes to be cuddled and will purr for you, but has obviously been taught not to sit on sofas as she will only sit or lie on a hard surface. She has the largest green eyes I’ve ever seen – could easily be descended from the Egyptian Pharaohs cats. Her slim build probably has a lot to do with feeding her beautiful babies and she is slowly putting on some weight now that they are gone. While we don’t know how old she is for sure, we think she is one to two years old. She isn’t a noisy cat, but makes a little “brumping” sound that is quite comforting – it let her kittens know where she was, and it lets us know she’s there too. She’s used to using a litter tray and she LOVES roast chicken, can take or leave fresh mince, but likes her dry food. She would be a lovely cat for a family as she is very calm – even the vets commented on how laid back she was when she had to pop in for a day. She is very low maintenance and doesn’t mind being at home on her own. Adoption fee: $150 Our adoption fee includes a veterinary health check, minimum first vaccination, microchip and desexing at one of our recommended vets.  Please note that we do not freight our kittens or cats. Applicants wanting to adopt a kitten less than 20 weeks of age must be located within a reasonable proximity to one of our participating Brisbane vets.
