Miss Moo – female domestic short hair cat
Rescue cat for adoption in The Gap, Brisbane: Miss Moo has had plenty of responsibility in her short life. She was found in the grounds of the Redlands hospital when she was three months old with her heavily pregnant mother and siblings. She helped her mum raise her next litter of kittens before coming to live with her siblings. What a lot of work for someone so young. Moo spent the first month on the chairs under our dining room table! Since then, we’ve slowly won her trust – little steps mean that she now loves a good pat. She’s not a lap cat, but will sit next to you for a good smooch, and even loves to get her tummy rubbed.
Little things scare her, so she would really love a home where she can be an “only pet” and she will win your heart as a result. Children would be too scary, so a single adult owner or a quiet couple would be ideal for her.
She’s a smart cookie and loves to play with new things – she LOVES water and will play with a bowl until it’s all over the floor, so she definitely needs a water fountain. She’s a super clean cat, never had an accident (and was mortified when another foster kitten had an accident – she must have given him a stern talking too because he never had another one!!) and her coat is beautifully glossy.
She’s not an overly fussy eater – loves her mince and will eat dry food when she’s hungry. She likes new toys and will happily play with them while we’re at work. She’s a chatterbox who is always pleased to see me, but she also likes her own space, so is fine on her own during the day. Miss Moo will be worth the effort that her furever family put into her.
