Wendy – female domestic short hair cat

wendy 2

Rescue cat available for adoption in West Chermside, Brisbane:  Wendy is a very special girl, and not your typical cat.  She came to PWP with her 4 babies – barely more than a baby herself, and she was very scared, very underweight and unloved.  How times have changed!  With her 4 babies all adopted, Wendy is slowly starting to come out of her shell.  In the first few weeks in her foster home, Wendy didn’t make a sound, but how that has changed.  This little girl loves having a chat, and often rounds up her toys, while all the time telling them what to do!

She has found her inner kitten, and often pounces, jumps and runs with her toys in her mouth, chatting all the while.  She loves the resident kitties, and often cuddles up with them for a bit of a nap.  Wendy isn’t a lap cat though, and is still wary of strangers.  Her foster carers are slowly building trust with her, and will often be rewarded with a rub on the legs when dinner time arrives, along with a few hints to hurry the food along, especially if chicken is on the menu! Wendy also often hangs around her foster carers when it is their dinner time, and will often request a little morsel.

Wendy is estimated to be around 12-18 months old, and has the most stunning markings.  She is a torbie (tortoiseshell tabby) and quite petite. She is not yet willing to be picked up and cuddled, but as the time goes on, and with the right amount of love and tenderness, this has the huge potential to change.  Wendy would prefer a home without small children, although she is used to regular visits from a 5 year old girl.
