Rescue kitten for adoption in Dutton Park, Brisbane: Gentle, playful, peaceful, undemanding, curious, well mannered – this is just the start to how we would describe Jonsey.
Jonsey is currently being fostered with one of his brothers (Indy). He and his 4 siblings were packed in a box and dumped in the grounds of the hospital. Fortunately good folks intervened and they arrived in the care of Pets Without Partners. Initially these poor kittens were terrified and cranky pants but it only took a few days for them to calm down and their true nature reveal itself.
Wherever their life started it was certainly with someone that spent time with them and they must have had a very good mumma cat as she taught them well. Their claws stay in, they used the litter trays perfectly from the start, they are very comfortable with being cuddled, they wait patiently for their food and are very quick to adjust to new people and noises.
Jonsey loves to play, especially with his brother, but he also loves to hang out with you and he adores checking out what you are doing. He hangs back and studies before stepping in to new situation – a contrast to his brother who goes in boots first. He is the more thoughtful of the two but still a very active and loving little kitten.
Jonsey also likes to climb up the scratch post and watch out the window, especially when people or birds are going by.
We do not have children but we think Indy would be great with kids that have suitable pet skills. He is very comfortable with our dog and is not bothered by traffic noises or general sounds of life.
Jonsey loves his snuggles, chin and neck rubs but may not demand your attention in the same way that Indy does. He could easily be encouraged to be a peaceful lap cat.
If Jonsey and his brother Indy were adopted together they would be exceptionally good companions and ideal for a family that is not home during the day. They keep each other very good company and do not fret for companionship. They play well together which gives the added benefit of knowing they are getting plenty of exercise. They would be happy in any size home but I think they would be fine for anyone with a smaller sized home or apartment. They seem to be happy with whatever sized space they have access to.
Jonsey and his brother Indy would be ideal for a double adoption. Please consider the many benefits of adopting a very companionable pair.
Jonsey’s approximate date of birth is 15th December 2013.
