Rescue cat for adoption in The Gap, Brisbane: Calling all the singles ladies, put your hands up and show some love for bodacious Bessie, who came into our care when her beloved owner passed away. In her current environment, she is a shy girl, however she becomes a real chatterbox when she gets to know you, and particularly if the resident cats are not cramping her style, and they do. Not because they’re deliberately trying to get up her nose, they just are.
While Bessie loves, loves, loves a cuddle, she is not a lap cat. Bessie is happy to sit next to you on the couch and have her back scratched. Don’t we all? Besides, the need to have a lap cat comes with limitations. Lap cats are over rated, the believe it’s all about them, and have the audacity to complain when you want to move them. If you’re sensitive to their wants and needs, they can make you feel like a bad parent, so it’s nice to have your lap to yourself.
Bessie is excellent company and is also used to being on her own during the day while you’re at work. She is definitely used to being an only cat, and we owe it to her to find that special someone, preferably a single lady who likes what she sees and is willing to make the effort to adopt a middle age cat who is simply seeking the companionship of a friend, for life.
Bessie is approximately 5-6 years old and her adoption fee is $150.
Our cats and kittens are covered by a 30 day settling in period. If you don’t believe the cat or kitten you’ve chosen is suitable, he or she may be returned to us and your adoption fee will be refunded in full.
Our adoption fee includes a veterinary health check, microchip, desexing at one of our recommended vets, up to date intestinal worm and flea treatment and minimum first F3 vaccination (unless the kitten is still in foster when the booster vaccination is due, this will be included in the adoption fee)
Applicants wanting to adopt a kitten less than 20 weeks of age must be located within a reasonable proximity to one of our participating Brisbane vets.
Please note that we do not freight our kittens or cats.
