Charlie – female Devon Rex
Rescue cat for adoption in West End, Brisbane: **adoption pending** Charlie is a loving and gentle soul who, although easily frightened by unexpected noise, is gaining confidence by the week. Although she has some days where she seems to need some space, they are easily outweighed by the days she craves attention… There is nothing better when she flops down on the floor and shows you her tummy for some tickle time or suddenly decides she wants to be on your lap where she will happily stay until you need to move. She also loves to be brushed and we have “trained” her to jump up on her cat stand when it’s brush time; she happily purrs away for as long as you are willing to brush her.
Charlie still gets scared by sudden movements or if you go to stroke her too quickly; she would not be suitable for young children and loud places. She would suit someone who is laid back, relaxed and patient, and she will bring you lots of love and joy.
She takes a little while to warm up to strangers, and would like an owner who doesn’t have high expectations of the outgoing Rex nature. Charlie’s more of a quiet girl but once she knows you, she is a lovely low maintenance sweetheart.
We are looking for a quiet, mature forever home for Charlie with no children and no dogs, and preferably no other cats. Charlie is approximately 6 years old and her adoption fee is $200.
Our cats and kittens are covered by a 30 day settling in period. If you don’t believe the cat or kitten you’ve chosen is suitable, he or she may be returned to us and your adoption fee will be refunded in full.
Our adoption fee includes a veterinary health check, microchip, desexing at one of our recommended vets, up to date intestinal worm and flea treatment and minimum first F3 vaccination (unless the kitten is still in foster when the booster vaccination is due, this will be included in the adoption fee)
Applicants wanting to adopt a kitten less than 20 weeks of age must be located within a reasonable proximity to one of our participating Brisbane vets.
Please note that we do not freight our kittens or cats.
Adoption applications can be completed on-line at www.petswithoutpartners.org.au where you’ll find the appropriate links (to the forms) on our home page.
