Squeak & Dinah – male and female adolescent cats
Rescue adolescent cats for adoption in Tingalpa, Brisbane: Say hello to this dynamic duo! Squeak (white and black) and Dinah (white and ginger) are easy going siblings (and partners in crime!) who have been in foster care since around 4 weeks old.
They are great friends who will happily play together, but are independent enough to spend one on one time with people. Dinah has been great company and support for Squeak whilst being treated for his medical condition, so they will be adopted to their new home together.
You may remember Squeak from our Facebook ‘Saving Squeak Appeal’ earlier this year. Squeak had a rough start to life when he was diagnosed with the rare and major health complications of patent ductus arteriosus and persistent right aortic arch. He was unable to eat solid food and was on a homemade soup diet to survive.
Thankfully our wonderful network of vets and medical specialists diagnosed and treated him successfully and he lives life to the fullest with no ongoing complications. Because of the severity of his condition, it will need to be monitored throughout his life, however it is expected that there will be no ongoing problems.
Squeak is confident, fun and very affectionate. He got his namesake from his vocalisation as a kitten. He loves to snuggle with you in bed (often getting under the covers) and shows his appreciation with a big, continuous purr! He loves to play with toys, run with the other cats in the house and sit in the window to watch the day go by.
Dinah is a sweetheart who loves to play with straws! She spies them a mile away and will even take the one sitting in your glass. She also is fascinated with water and will often jump in the sink in the hopes you will turn the tap on so she can play with the water and watch it move. She is also affectionate, enjoys a good chin rub and loves to snuggle with you in bed.
Both have lived very happily with a couple of small, polite dogs and a group of confident adult cats. Dinah even enjoys grooming one of the dogs’ ears and playing with her wagon tail. They would be best suited as indoor cats due to their white coats and pink ears, and would do well in a house with adults or a family with older children.
They are a very special pair who will bring their new family much love, and laughter, so we are looking for an equally special home.
Have you got what it takes to be their new owner? You’ll need to provide lots of love and be prepared for double trouble, in the best possible way. And if you’re thinking about a Christmas tree, forget it…they’ll dismantle the decorations in no time!
Our adoption fee of $320 for both Squeak and Dinah includes a veterinary health check, vaccinations, microchip and spay/neuter, as required. Our kittens, adult cats, puppies and adult dogs are covered by a 30 day “settling in period.” If you don’t believe the pet you chose is suitable, he or she may be returned to us and your adoption fee will be refunded in full. Existing health conditions are addressed at the time of the initial veterinary consultation and declared in the “medical notes” on their individual listing.
During the “settling in period” we offer assurance to address any health concerns, pre-existing or otherwise, provided they are brought to our attention within 30 days from the date of adoption. This excludes any illness or injury is deemed accidental or deliberate. In the former instance, we will recommend you make an appointment with one of our participating vets for a consultation. Should you choose to use a vet of your own choice, we will not be responsible for the reimbursement of your vet fees.
Applicants wanting to adopt a kitten less than 20 weeks of age must be located within a reasonable proximity to one of our participating Brisbane vets.
Please note that we do not freight our kittens, adult cats, puppies or adult dogs.
Adoption applications can be completed on-line at www.petswithoutpartners.org.au where you’ll find the appropriate links (to the forms) on our home page.
