Rescue cat for adoption in Ferny Grove: "She's such a lovely cat." That's the immediate response by her carers when asked to describe Darla. Nice! They say good things come in small packages (and some say black cats are bad luck, boo to whoever says that!) and this is certainly the case with Darla. She may be small but she is packed full of personality and has a real quirkiness to her. Personality wise, Darla loves pats, lots of them please - she's very affectionate, confident, and independently happy. Darla is many things. She's a foodie, so My Kitchen Rules and Masterchef appeal to her palette. Darla is looking forward to The Block (mostly because she fancies herself as a bit of plumber, dripping taps are an endless source of fun) so if reality TV is your thing, then Darla's your cat!
Darla loves human company and is happy to follow you from room to room, or curl up next you to on the couch, yet she is independently happy. She is full of energy, playfulness and fun but once the time has come to rest she would love nothing more than to share up cuddle with you. She won't want to share you with another cat, she want's a mutually exclusive arrangement with you.
As an adolescent cat, Darla would be delighted in a home that will make time for play. She is gentle with no bad habits of biting, scratching or rough behaviour
She will spend the night near you. She loves sleeping on the window sill above the bed (she is small enough to lay down on it) or on the bed. Darla loves pats and prefers to be next to you rather than be held. She has the sweetest little purr that she will reward you with for all of those pats.
Darla is great with dogs and would prefer to be the only cat in your life, she wants all the attention! She loves the excitement of people to play with and is just an absolutely delightful adolescent to have in the home. She is a really sweet girl who will grow to be a stunning slinky cat; you will truly have a beautiful companion who will simply steal your heart..
