ADOPT Squeak – male adult cat for $75!

Rescue cat for adoption in Richlands: Is there a mouse in the house? None of this loud yowling, or complaining…I sound a little like a mouse…eek, eek!  I like to play “hard to get” at first, but bring on the food, that’ll win me over and once I trust you (seriously, that doesn’t too long) I’ll have you wrapped around my paw in no time at all. Believe what I say because you won’t be able to get me off your lap, or out of your bed. I be where you are, and that includes being under the blankets (with you, of course) as there are occasions when I forget that I’m a cat and I think I’m human. And if you have a favourite chair, be prepared to share because that will be “our” chair in no time.

I get along with all shapes and sizes, and I don’t mind older children who are patient and respectful.

If you give me a chance, I’ll show you I am one heck of a loyal cat who will love you through good times and bad. Sometimes I like belly rubs, sometimes I don’t…you’ll have to find out what tickles my fancy on any given day. I like to keep myself interesting.

So, here’s my routine. I wake up, eat my breakfast, meow, nap, look at the world from the window, nap again, have a snack, greet my carers when they come home from work, meow a bit more, nap, eat dinner and finish off the day with a snuggle from my carers. I tell you, my routine is very tiring, hence all the cat naps.

I’m reasonably independent, but hey, I don’t mind the company of a friendly cat or dog (if I have) however I really, really, really love to spend one on one time with my people.

Adoption Process

Our adoption fee includes a veterinary health check, vaccinations, microchip and spay/neuter, as required. Our kittens, adult cats, puppies and adult dogs are covered by a 30 day “settling in period.” If you don’t believe the pet you chose is suitable, he or she may be returned to us and your adoption fee will be refunded in full. Existing health conditions are addressed at the time of the initial veterinary consultation and declared in the “medical notes” on their individual listing.

During the “settling in period” we offer assurance to address any health concerns, pre-existing or otherwise, provided they are brought to our attention within 30 days from the date of adoption. This excludes any illness or injury is deemed accidental or deliberate. In the former instance, we will recommend you make an appointment with one of our participating vets for a consultation. Should you choose to use a vet of your own choice, we will not be responsible for the reimbursement of your vet fees.

Applicants wanting to adopt a kitten less than 20 weeks of age must be located within a reasonable proximity to one of our participating Brisbane vets.

Please note that we do not freight our kittens, adult cats, puppies or adult dogs.

Adoption applications can be completed on-line at where you’ll find the appropriate links (to the forms) on our home page.
