Parker – female domestic short hair kitten

Parker 2Rescue kitten for adoption in Mt Cotton: Parker’s rescue was a community effort. When a local kindergarten put out a call to help with some kittens born under their building, Pets Without Partners offered to help.
Parker was one of three kittens successfully trapped and began her new life living amongst a loving family in a warm home.
Before being rescued these kittens we believe had never been handled by human hands before. So to them, we were pretty scary. However Parker has really come to appreciate life inside. She is now confident enough to jump up on the lounge with her foster mum and purrs affectionately when stroked.
She has bonded well with their resident cat and would make a lovely little sister for a kind confident cat.
Her rehabilitation will be an ongoing process, continuing to build her confidence will require patience, kindness and an understanding that she was a street kitten so she has some natural instincts of wanting to hide when approached. She will most likely grow out of this quite quickly with her family but might continue to hide from visitors.
Her house manners are lovely and she is a quiet, dear little kitten that would love someone who has time to snuggle with her and make her always feel safe.
Parker is not the right kitten for a child’s pet and she would be ok with calm, quiet, friendly dogs.
She is gentle and does not bite or scratch. She loves to play and enjoys her food.
Parker is adored by her foster family and they are so excited to meet a genuinely kind family who can offer this beautiful kitten a life filled with love and stability.

Parker’s approximate date of birth is early April 2016 and her adoption fee is $180.

Adoption Process

Our adoption fee includes a veterinary health check, vaccinations, microchip and spay/neuter, as required. Our kittens, adult cats, puppies and adult dogs are covered by a 30 day “settling in period.” If you don’t believe the pet you chose is suitable, he or she may be returned to us and your adoption fee will be refunded in full. Existing health conditions are addressed at the time of the initial veterinary consultation and declared in the “medical notes” on their individual listing.

During the “settling in period” we offer assurance to address any health concerns, pre-existing or otherwise, provided they are brought to our attention within 30 days from the date of adoption. This excludes any illness or injury is deemed accidental or deliberate. In the former instance, we will recommend you make an appointment with one of our participating vets for a consultation. Should you choose to use a vet of your own choice, we will not be responsible for the reimbursement of your vet fees.

Applicants wanting to adopt a kitten less than 20 weeks of age must be located within a reasonable proximity to one of our participating Brisbane vets.

Please note that we do not freight our kittens, adult cats, puppies or adult dogs.

Adoption applications can be completed on-line where you’ll find the appropriate links (to the forms) on our home page.
